Levulan
Levulan, or aminolevulinic acid, is used in combination with blue-wavelength light to treat a skin condition called Actinic Keratosis. Levulan can only be administered by a medical professional, and the Clarkston Dermatology doctors are qualified experts in its use. It usually takes two visits to the office to make the most of Levulan - one for the application, and the second for the light treatment. Levulan does cause sensitivity to light and heat for a short time, so be certain to follow the instructions of your dermatologists at Clarkston Dermatology to make the most of a Levulan treatment.
